2015年にカーリング競技専用施設を併設する盛岡市アイスリンクが供用開始となって以降、毎年開催しておりました本大会は、新型コロナウイルスの世界的な感染拡大に伴い、開催を断念していました。現時点での感染状況を鑑み、開催方法を再考することにより、今年は開催が可能なのではないかと考えています。食事の提供、控え室の提供、レセプションの開催は行いませんが、多くのチームの応募を心よりお待ちしております。8チームで開催したできた場合には、順位に応じてWCT ポイントを付与します。また、参加選手にはWCFポイントを付与します。
The event had been held every year since the Morioka City Ice Rink, which has dedicated facilities for curling competitions, was put into service in 2015, but due to the global spread of the new coronavirus, the event had to be abandoned. In view of the current infection situation, we believe it may be possible to hold the event this year by reconsidering the way it is organised. We will not provide food, waiting rooms or a reception, but we are looking forward to receiving as many teams as possible, and if we are able to organise the event with eight teams, WCT points will be awarded according to the standings. Participating athletes will also be awarded WCF points.
