本大会は World Curling Tour JAPAN の大会であり、優勝チームにはカナダ・ビクトリアで開催される「Vancouver Island Shootout」への参加権が与えられます。

1チーム 60,000円（参加費・昼食費・レセプション参加費など全費用込み）
※レセプションは大会1日目の夜に実施予定です。
🏆 表彰・副賞
・賞金総額：男女合計60万円
・優勝チーム：賞金、盾・賞状、Vancouver Island Shootout 出場権
・準優勝・第3位：賞状
・全チームに参加記念品あり

🥌 Announcement: MEBUKIYA Presents 9th Morioka City Ice Rink Memorial Cup
We are pleased to announce the MEBUKIYA presents 9th Morioka City Ice Rink Memorial Cup, a 2025–2026 WCT-JAPAN Challenger Series event, to be held in Morioka, Japan!
This international curling tournament is part of the official World Curling Tour JAPAN circuit. The champion teams (men and women) will receive invitations to the Vancouver Island Shootout hosted by the Victoria Curling Club in Canada.
📅 Event Dates
- Men’s Division: June 7–8, 2025 (Sat–Sun)
- Women’s Division: July 5–6, 2025 (Sat–Sun)

Michinoku Coca-Cola Bottling Rink (Morioka Ice Rink)
5-3-3 Motomiya, Morioka, Iwate, Japan

👥 Teams
- 8 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams (tentative)
Note: Event will not be held if fewer than 6 teams register.
💴 Entry Fee
JPY 60,000 per team (includes lunch and reception)
Reception will be held on the evening of Day 1.
🏆 Awards & Prizes
- Total prize money: JPY 600,000
- Champions: Plaque, certificate, and invitation to the Vancouver Island Shootout (Canada)
- Runners-up & third place: Certificate
- All teams receive a participation gift
📝 Eligibility & Selection
- Priority given to WCT-registered teams (WCT-Japan can assist with registration)
- If entries exceed capacity, a selection committee will decide
- Up to 2 overseas teams may be selected
- Final team list announced by early May (Men) and late May (Women)
- Additional entries may be accepted up to 1 week before the event if fewer than 8 teams are registered
⚙️ Competition Format
- Round-robin preliminaries, followed by playoffs (for 8 teams)
- 8 ends or 110-minute time cap
- Draw shots to break ties (except the final, which includes one extra end if needed)
